Sharp Aquos LC-60E77UN March 2, 2010 Jesus S. Gonzales (Tucson, Az) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great flat panel big screen. I already had a LC-C6077UN and loved it so I was worried about the gold bezel mainly because it was $500 cheaper, but you don't even notice it. It looks like reflection off of my tv stand. The two tv's are identical. Sound quality I can't speak on I use a 5.1 surround sound system. I still come in the room a month later and smerk at the size of this monster. I love it.
motion blur/pixelation woes.... February 10, 2010 research o.c.d. (Allentown,PA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
was so excited to receive this big boy to replace my 50 inch hitachi plasma, moved now to my bedroom....all seemed ok at first, HD looked real good, sound pretty good for a flat screen. Then the motion sped up....first was The Hulk...watching it with my kids, I got increasingly frustrated at the motion blurring and pixelation whenever there was a chase scene...I tried to switch b/w 120hz and 60 hz but it just got worse, and I also played around with all the film settings to no avail. Then came the Super Bowl...on any closeups, the main player stays in focus, and everyone around him blurs and pixelates at game speed - very frustrating. Two grand on a T.V. should give you better satisfaction than that. Also, switched to LCD to reduce glare in the first place, and this screen has about 70% as much glare as my 3 yr. old plasma, which, by the way, has no motion blur at all. Amazon, being the pros that they are, are making good on everything for me, and I think my next purchase, after ad-nauseum research, will be the Samsung 58-inch B650 series (beware...the 800 series is seriously overpriced and seriously overheats!) The Aquos' blacks also look purple unless you're viewing straight on. Sorry, Sharp, I really wanted to love this t.v., but for two large, i'm just not feeling it.
weak speaker February 9, 2010 T. Luo (usa) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is funny such a big TV has such weak speakers. It must be a design error. Louder, louder, please! Otherwise, everything is excellent. I love the TV.
Pass thru? January 30, 2010 John Dilorenzo 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Nice TV, But I can not figure out if the Optical Out offers 5.1 Dolby Digtal pass through...
I like to wire my components directly to the TV, then one audio (optical) cable to my amp... Can anyone help me?
Best TV I've ever had January 30, 2010 Gerald W. Nix Jr. (San Antonio, TX USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had a 65" Mitsubishi HD that I bought in 2002...not quit the same kind of HD. The Sharp just blows it away! Not fair to compare rear projection to LCD, but man am I satisfied! The Bluray, when used is just outstanding. I mounted the Sharp above our fireplace, and now our living room is so much larger. I was not concerned at all about the TV sound as it is hooked up to my surround sound system...I love it!
Would have only been better if I had managed to go and shop before Christmas and got that good price, but hey, you snooze, you lose! Get one, you won't be disappointed!
